We are looking for a dedicated Data Product Owner (individual contributor) who is passionate about helping the business drive insights from data. Within Schwab Data we have started a journey of applying product management principles to how we lead data asset development in our data warehouse, organizing them in subject areas, and treating them as “data products." The Data Product Owner will strive to provide ownership, clarity, prioritization, shared understanding and develop requirements for technology teams to design data in an analytical environment.

- Managing the complete life cycle of products and services using various methodologies for successful optimization
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or similar technical field
- Minimum 6 years of experience analyzing complex source databases
- Minimum 6 years of SQL experience in Data Warehouse environment
- Minimum 6 years creating requirements for Data Warehouse data acquisition and curation
- Minimum 6 years of experience working as a Product Owner within Data Management
- Minimum 6 years managing data development projects
- Fluent knowledge of Data Warehouse concepts (e.g. Kimball, Inmon, etc.)
- Strong technical skills, excellent time management, prioritization capabilities and an aptitude for critical thinking
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a blend of business acumen and technical aptitude
- Demonstrated clarity of thinking to work through limited information and vague problem definitions
- Ability to influence others; build direct and “behind the scenes” support for ideas
- Ability to identify and remove project obstacles or barriers on behalf of the team
- Self-starter who is analytical, organized, and deadline oriented
Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Analytics or similar technical field
- Experience working within the Banking or Brokerage services
- Experience working in Google Big Query
- Experience with any/all Business Data Management (BDM) concepts; Data Migration, Data Quality, Data Synchronization, Data Administration, Data Governance and Metadata Management
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
