The Strategy & Transformation Team within Schwab’s Client Service & Support organization is responsible for developing and orchestrating high impact service strategies designed to enhance the client and employee experience.
As a Senior Statistical Analyst on our team, you will be responsible for using data to generate insights that paint a compelling picture enabling senior leadership to make informed business decisions. You will work closely with a team of strategists, product owners, and analysts who contribute to the delivery of a best-in-class service experience. With your data driven recommendations, you will influence a wide stakeholder audience to deliver a more positive outcome.
What you are good at
- Passionate about leveraging data and analytics to identify solutions for complex business problems
- Distilling large amounts of information into a succinct “so-what”
- Collaborating with a diverse stakeholder ecosystem to understand business needs
- Working with a cross functional group of stakeholders to deliver insights in a fast-paced and ever evolving environment
- Leaving no stone unturned when analyzing a problem
- Validating hypothesis through analysis and telling a compelling story for senior leadership
- Proactively identifying yet to be discovered opportunities through data
- Influencing without authority
- Structuring a complex business problem into a succinct analytical approach
What you have
- 3+ years of work experience in analytics, data science, or strategy (consulting experience a plus)
- Superior qualitative analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and attention to detail
- Demonstrated success supporting delivery for concurrent projects.
- Demonstrated success developing junior resources.
- High proficiency with data management and manipulation with SQL, Python, and Teradata; bonus if you have Google Cloud and unstructured data experience.
- High Proficiency with MS Office Products (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, etc.)
- Proven experience querying both structured and unstructured datasets
- Experience working with BI tools (Tableau, PowerBI, etc.)
- Bachelor’s degree preferably in Business or quantitative fields such as Finance, Economics, Math, Statistics, Engineering
- Proven ability to write clearly, succinctly, and in a manner that appeals to a wide audience
- Ability to leverage data to paint a compelling argument for driving long term business results
- Confidence dealing with ambiguity in a dynamic and fast paced work environment
- Proficiency with R, SAS a plus
