As a Regional Annuity Specialist within Charles Schwab’s Income & Wealth Solutions Group, you will serve as a key resource for financial consultants, providing specialized knowledge and expertise on annuity products and solutions. Your role is to help clients achieve their retirement and income goals by delivering guidance on annuities as part of a broader wealth management strategy. You will work closely with Schwab’s advisors, clients, and internal partners to deepen client relationships and enhance Schwab’s reputation as a trusted financial institution.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Consultant Support:

  • Act as a subject matter expert on annuity products, including fixed, variable, and indexed annuities, and their role within a comprehensive financial plan.
  • Educate and coach financial consultants on annuity solutions, helping them identify opportunities and position products effectively for client needs.
  • Provide ongoing support to advisors by delivering product knowledge, insights, and tailored recommendations.

Client Engagement:

  • Collaborate with financial consultants in client meetings (in person, virtual, or via phone) to explain annuity solutions and how they align with clients’ financial goals.
  • Simplify complex product features and help clients understand the benefits and risks associated with annuities.

Platform and Offer Management:

  • Partner with Schwab’s Income & Wealth Solutions Offer Group to develop innovative strategies and materials that address evolving client needs.
  • Stay informed of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive products to keep Schwab’s annuity offerings and strategies relevant.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

  • Work closely with product development, compliance, and marketing teams to ensure annuity solutions are aligned with Schwab’s broader business objectives.
  • Collaborate with Schwab’s internal wealth specialists to provide a seamless client experience.

  • Demonstrated expertise in annuity products, including fixed, variable, and indexed annuities.

What you have


  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
  • 5+ years of experience in financial services, with a strong focus on annuities or retirement income planning.
  • FINRA Series 6 and 63 (or equivalent) required (or can be obtained under a 120 day condition of employment)
  • Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., CFP®, CFA®, ChFC®) preferred
  • Active life & health insurance licensing preferred (or can be obtained under a condition of employment)
  • Proven ability to explain complex financial concepts clearly to clients and advisors.
