Your Opportunity

Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us challenge the status quo and transform the finance industry together.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site in the specified location(s).

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.

Schwab’s Investment Platforms, Solutions, and Strategy (SIPSS) organization brings together leaders across existing and emerging investment product areas, including digital assets, private markets, third-party products and platforms, separately managed accounts, digital advice, and product strategy. This team is focused on building a premier investment product suite that meets the evolving needs of Schwab clients while supporting long-term business growth.

Within this organization, the Senior Manager, Investment Offer Strategy will be part of the Investment Offers & Solutions (IOS) group, a team responsible for shaping strategy across proprietary Separately Managed Account products and third-party product marketplaces, including alternative investments, managed accounts, mutual funds, ETFs, structured products, fixed income, annuities and insurance, and 529 solutions. This role sits at the center of important strategic questions: where should Schwab invest next, how should the offer portfolio evolve over the next 3–5 years, and how can Schwab continue to differentiate its platforms in a changing investment landscape?

In this role, you will own discrete components of the long-term offer strategy and lead high-visibility initiatives end-to-end – from problem framing and hypothesis development through executive decision-making and launch. You will use Product Strategy, Strategic Thinking, Market Research, Competitive Analysis, Modeling, and Risk Assessment to evaluate new opportunities, synthesize complex information, and develop clear recommendations that influence business direction. Your work will require close collaboration across Retail, Advisor Services, Workplace, Schwab Asset Management, and corporate partners such as Risk, Finance, Legal, and Compliance to shape go-forward offer strategy that supports clients, RIAs, asset managers, and Schwab.

This role is designed for strategy professionals – particularly former management consultants who have served wealth management, brokerage, or asset management clients – who want to move from advising on strategy to owning it. Unlike a consulting engagement, you will see your recommendations through to implementation and measure their impact on one of the largest investment platforms in the industry. You will deepen your strategy expertise while gaining broad exposure across investment products, platforms, and senior leadership. The role is well suited for someone who is curious, adaptable, highly resourceful, and energized by work that blends analytical rigor, collaboration, and business impact.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead strategic initiatives across the IOS product and platform portfolio, scoping the key questions, structuring the work, and driving to a clear recommendation and decision
  • Build business cases, market sizing, and financial models to evaluate new product, pricing, and platform opportunities
  • Develop and maintain a perspective on industry trends, competitor moves, and client and advisor needs, and translate them into implications for Schwab’s offer strategy
  • Prepare and present executive-ready materials for IOS and SIPSS leadership, and support materials for broader senior leadership forums
  • Partner with product, distribution, and corporate functions (Risk, Finance, Legal, Compliance) to move initiatives through governance and into execution
  • Facilitate working sessions and workshops with cross-functional stakeholders to align on direction, trade-offs, and next steps
  • Support the IOS annual strategic planning cycle and manage ad hoc strategic questions from senior leaders
