At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Job Duties: Create and review test data, scripts, and performance test executions. Monitor CPU and memory usage, garbage collection, request rate, error rates, and average response time. Review project specifications and work with multiple teams to understand nonfunctional requirements, including system architecture, design, and internal and external interfaces. Investigate and identify root causes of performance bottlenecks at the web (IIS), application (Java and .NET), database (Oracle/MongoDB), and message queue (RabbitMQ and Kafka) layers. Configure APM tools like AppDynamics for monolith ASP.NET, PCF .NET Core, and Java applications, and create alerts and set up monitoring dashboards using AppDynamics and Splunk. Assess performance requirements on a release basis to ensure no impact on user experience due to code changes or enhancements in each sprint.
