Schwab’s Workplace Services (WS) team is responsible for serving client needs across Retirement Plan Services (RPS), Stock Plan Services (SPS), and Designated Brokerage Services businesses. The Senior Product Manager, Stock Plan Services Private Issuer Securities will be responsible for managing and evolving a defined Private Issuer Securities SPS Product, ensuring strong execution, client value, and alignment to broader SPS strategy.

You will focus on day-to-day offer ownership and delivery for Private Issuer Securities capability, operating within the strategic direction set by SPS Product leadership and partner closely with cross-functional teams to support private companies that contract with Schwab for equity administration, cap table management, and participant access.

Responsibilities

The Senior Product Manager, SPS Private Issuer Securities serves as the Product owner for the Private Issuer Securities SPS product, with accountability for execution, performance, and continuous improvement.

Offer Strategy & Execution

  • Manage offer-level goals, performance metrics, and delivery plans.
  • Identify opportunities to enhance the offer based on client needs, operational insights, and market trends.

Product Lifecycle Management

  • Own the ongoing management of the Private Issuer Securities offer, including roadmap planning, feature prioritization, and enhancements.
  • Partner with technology and digital teams to deliver incremental improvements and resolve product issues.
  • Support evaluation and execution of offer changes, expansions, or retirements as directed by SPS Product leadership.

Market Positioning & Pricing Support

  • Partner with Marketing and Field Enablement to ensure clear, consistent messaging of the offer’s value.
  • Monitor competitive dynamics and client feedback to inform positioning recommendations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Lead cross-functional working teams across Technology, Operations, Legal & Compliance, Risk, and Marketing to deliver offer outcomes.
  • Coordinate launches, enhancements, and communications related to the Private Issuer Securities offer.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for the offer in internal forums and client discussions.

Financial & Governance Management

  • Partner with Finance to track offer-level performance, costs, and financial outcomes.
  • Support vendor oversight and contract management related to the Private Issuer Securities offer.
  • Ensure offer changes adhere to governance, risk, and compliance requirements.

Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of experience in equity compensation, stock plan services, financial services, or product/offer management.
  • Experience owning or managing a defined product or offer with measurable performance outcomes.
  • Demonstrated success working cross-functionally to deliver product or operational initiatives.
  • Strong client-facing skills and the ability to translate client needs into execution priorities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Undergraduate degree.

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Experience with private companies, private equity, or pre-IPO equity administration.
  • Prior experience in Workplace Services or Stock Plan Services environments.
  • Advanced degree.

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
