Schwab Advisor Services, a division of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. is the leading provider of custody, trading, technology and practice management to registered independent advisory firms. It provides access to sophisticated wealth-management services that help advisors attract and retain affluent clients, as well as profitably grow, compete and succeed in their business efforts. Schwab Advisor Services serves over 16,000 registered independent advisors (RIAs) who manage $5 trillion in assets at Schwab.
The Executive Planning group reports to the Managing Director of Advisor Experience and Platform Solutions in Advisor Services and supports the Head of Schwab Advisor Services. The Executive Planning team assists in running the Advisor Services business with creation of executive presentations and communications, planning and content development for leadership meetings, and critical business initiatives, while working collaboratively with business partners to help Advisor Services achieve its goals.
The Senior Manager will be responsible for supporting the Director with executive deliverables and daily business management for the Advisor Services Leadership team. Examples of key areas of responsibility include:
Executive communications:
- Develop an understanding of the business narrative and draft compelling presentations and talking points. Examples include, quarterly business reviews, investor relations business spotlights, notes for leader speaker engagements and key meetings, summaries of information for leaders to cascade or action from select senior leadership meetings/ forums, support for various internal and external speaking engagements.
- Consider various stakeholder audiences including: the Charles Schwab Corporation’s leaders, Board of Directors, shareholders, employees, and clients
- Partner with Communications team to help ensure messages are consistent across all platforms.
Strategic business support:
- Develop and maintain periodic update on Advisor Services top business updates and issues for the CEO and President
- Partner with strategic planning & analytics colleagues to synthesize information on progress towards strategic objectives for Exec Committee updates
- Partner with the Director to set the agenda and manage content for weekly leadership team meetings, as well as other key forums for Advisor Services’ leadership and 3,000+ employees
- Be part of a highly-valued, central team that serves as a resource and facilitator among business members that are working cross-functionally
What you have
- 2-4 years in a strategy, executive communications, project management, offer management, or other related role
- Bachelor's degree
- Expert ability to design and deliver polished, visually compelling, and strategically structured PowerPoint presentations for executive audiences, ensuring clarity, impact, and alignment with business objectives.
- Intermediate proficiency with Excel
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including ability to synthesize data, develop recommendations, influence partners and report on status
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Cross-functional project management and relationship building skills
- Experience serving the financial services industry (preferred)
- Financial advisor industry knowledge (preferred)
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
