DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our Opportunity
The Senior Manager, Analytics Developer (PL) is a people leader within DAFgiving360’s Data function, responsible for leading a high-performing analytics team that delivers trusted reporting, actionable insights, strategic initiative support, and scalable data solutions across the enterprise. This leader will oversee business intelligence and analytics delivery while helping shift the function from reactive request fulfillment to a more proactive, consultative, and business-aligned operating model.
This role will partner closely with business leaders, data engineering, data governance, technology partners, and analytics professionals to support DAFgiving360’s enterprise data needs. The Senior Manager will manage intake and prioritization, guide scrum processes, strengthen reporting standards, and lead a team spanning dashboard development, ad hoc analysis, business intelligence, data storytelling, automation, quality assurance, and strategic program analytics.
The ideal candidate is a strong people leader and analytics practitioner who can balance operational urgency with long-term scalability, build trusted cross-functional relationships, and help DAFgiving360 make confident, insight-driven decisions through reusable, accurate, well-governed data products.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and develop a diverse analytics team across business intelligence, reporting, dashboard development, ad hoc analysis, data storytelling, automation, and strategic initiative support.
- Set priorities, manage capacity, and guide agile delivery, including intake, backlog refinement, sprint planning, delivery tracking, quality review, and stakeholder updates.
- Oversee business intelligence and analytics support, including recurring reporting, operational dashboards, executive insights, ad hoc requests, issue investigation, and time-sensitive data needs.
- Partner with leaders across DAFgiving360 to define analytics roadmaps, translate ambiguous needs into actionable work, and align delivery to enterprise priorities.
- Support strategic initiatives and enterprise programs by shaping measurement approaches, defining KPIs, analyzing baseline and impact, and delivering decision-ready insights.
- Improve the analytics operating model by reducing manual reporting, increasing automation, strengthening reuse and documentation, and expanding self-service capabilities.
- Establish standards, peer review practices, quality controls, documentation expectations, and delivery processes that improve consistency, trust, and scalability.
- Partner with data engineering, data governance, technology, and business stakeholders on certified datasets, data quality, access, platform migrations, reporting modernization, and data culture enablement.
What you have
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 8+ years of experience in analytics, business intelligence, reporting, data strategy, visualization, data management, or related data-driven roles.
- Demonstrated experience in people leadership, including coaching, developing, prioritizing work for, and enabling analytics professionals with varied technical and business skillsets.
- Demonstrated experience with data visualization / reporting tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms as well as programming languages such as SQL, Google BigQuery, Python, or similar technologies.
- Experience managing analytics delivery across recurring reporting, ad hoc analysis, operational support, executive insights, and strategic initiatives while balancing speed, quality, risk, and scalability.
- Strong understanding of data quality, business definitions, lineage, certified datasets, documentation, and governance practices needed to build trust in enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous business questions into clear analytical approaches, durable reporting solutions, and actionable recommendations.
- Strong executive presence, communication, and influencing skills, with the ability to explain complex data concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, matrixed environment while building trusted relationships across business, technology, data governance, and analytics partners.
Preferred Competencies
- Experience leading analytics in financial services, nonprofit, philanthropic, donor-advised fund, or other high-integrity data environments.
- Experience operating within or helping establish an analytics center of excellence, federated analytics model, business power user program, or self-service enablement model.
- Experience with agile delivery practices, scrum ceremonies, Jira or similar work management tools, and analytics backlog management.
- Experience modernizing reporting environments, migrating dashboards or reports across platforms, or improving legacy processes through automation and reusable data products.
- Familiarity with advanced analytics, AI/ML-enabled use cases, experimentation, forecasting, segmentation, propensity modeling, or data science partnership models.
