Insights, Planning and Analytics supports the Marketing organization, focused on decision support, consulting on optimal marketing spend allocation, A/B testing, journey analytics, management reporting, and client / prospect data management. As a Senior Manager, Analytics Consultant, you will be responsible for providing valuable insights, analyses, and reporting to support Schwab’s Marketing organization and acquisition marketing efforts to drive growth and attract new clients across a variety of channels. In this role, you will focus on Acquisition Marketing, delivering actionable insights to drive incremental conversions/net new assets from clients and prospects.

  • Effectively collaborate with internal Marketing Analytics partners to deliver best-in-class, holistic solutions while serving as a trusted resource for all things data and analytics.
  • Deliver effective data visualizations and analytics geared toward driving actionable business growth and client retention while communicating complex ideas to leaders
  • Proactively analyze data to uncover insights that drive business value and impact.
  • Create analytical models, such as impact analysis of internal and external factors on metrics, forecasting, and segmentation drivers to evaluate business decisions and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with product and business stakeholders to gather requirements, formulate hypotheses, identify success metrics, and determine feasibility of analyses in current and future states.
  • Analyze several disparate data sources and tie them together in a way that supports further analysis of the data.
  • Use advanced statistical analysis methodologies to determine key drivers of client behaviors, and use the insights rendered from those analyses to determine business recommendations.
  • Develop subject matter expertise around key Schwab systems & domains.
  • Work closely with business partners to build a strong, well defined engagement model that ensures optimal project scoping and prioritization while balancing business impact and success.
  • Ensure good solution design and architecture and utilize development expertise to create a defined project schedule.
  • Manage relationships to gain alignment across data and technology partners.

What you have


We are looking for a highly experienced and self-driven data analytics professional who is well-versed in statistical analysis, data modeling, SQL/BigQuery, data visualization, and business intelligence development in a BI platform like Tableau, with experience turning the data into insights consumable by an executive audience.

Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in a data analytics role.
  • Advanced skillset with SQL structured programming/Big Query, ad hoc queries, and data analysis development.
  • Past success translating business requirements into SQL "from scratch" without the assistance of a code generating tool and solid understanding of complex SQL.
  • Experience leveraging and reconciling data across multiple source systems.

  • Ability to think strategically and act tactically.
  • Extensive understanding of data architecture, tools and applications.
  • Passion for business intelligence, data, and analytics, and a commitment to drive positive change.
  • Strong curiosity to understand clients and improve overall business impact.
  • Outstanding communicator who can clearly translate data to insights and leverages trend analysis and statistical methods such as regression modeling, time series analysis, clustering and decision trees to identify notable and actionable analytics.
  • Successful history delivering insights to support key business decisions such as marketing strategy, workflow and spend recommendations, marketing campaigns and optimization decisions.
  • Superior analytical skills, creativity in problem solving, and attention to detail
  • Proven success developing concise and effective presentations tailored to specific audiences.
  • Project execution skills with a proven track record of driving critical initiatives to drive growth.
  • Self-starter that can thrive in a multifaceted and fast-paced work environment, with a positive attitude and solid work ethic.
  • Influential consultant with the ability to partner cross-functionally, cross-enterprise and work effectively with various levels and personality types within the organization..
  • Strong relationship building and collaboration skills, especially in cross-functional teams
  • Comfort in a dynamic, fast-moving, Agile, and matrix work environment.
  • Experience presenting to an executive audience a plus.
  • Financial Services experience.
  • Proficiency applying statistical/analytical techniques in Python or R.
  • Mentor and train analysts and junior developers on the team, able to train others on analytical and visualization best practices.
