This position offers an experienced Finance professional the opportunity to support Schwab Technology Services (STS).

We are looking for a dynamic Senior Manager of Finance to lead a team that supports key functions of STS. The team serves as a strategic business partner, providing financial insights, planning, and analysis to support decision-making and drive operational excellence. This role will lead budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis for key technology functions, ensuring alignment with corporate financial goals.

Some of the responsibilities and functions of this role are:

  • Business Partnering & Strategic Support
    • Collaborate with Technology leaders to understand business drivers and translate them into financial plans
    • Provide actionable insights to improve cost efficiency, productivity, and profitability
    • Support strategic initiatives such as scale and efficiency projects, capacity planning, and process improvements
  • Financial Planning & Analysis
    • Lead the annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes for key Technology functions
    • Develop and maintain financial models to support scenario planning and investment decisions
    • Analyze variances between actuals and forecasts, identifying root causes and recommending corrective actions
  • Reporting & Performance Management
    • Deliver monthly and quarterly performance reports with commentary for senior leadership
    • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to monitor business health
    • Ensure timely and accurate reporting in alignment with corporate standards
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Partner with Accounting, Procurement, Corporate FP&A, and HR to ensure financial alignment across functions
    • Maintain robust capitalization processes for internally developed software
  • Leadership & Team Development
    • Manage and mentor a team of Analysts, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and analytical rigor
    • Champion adoption of Technology Business Management framework and Total Cost of Ownership data across STS FP&A team

What you have


Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in financial planning & analysis or related finance role
  • 3+ years in a direct leadership role
  • Experience utilizing Technology Business Management framework and Total Cost of Ownership to improve financial transparency and insights for technology leaders
  • Strong track record of driving budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning processes supporting technology organizations
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and develop high-performing FP&A teams
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders and translate financial insights into strategic actions
  • Strong business acumen and ability to partner cross-functionally with finance and technology leaders
  • Experience supporting enterprise-wide transformation projects

Preferred:

  • MBA, CPA or similar
  • Financial Services Industry experience
  • Experience supporting global technology teams
