At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
This is a role where you will be able to grow your expertise through consistent challenges with the backing of passionate leaders who will value your contributions and encourage your development.
Schwab is currently embarking on a transformation of our data risk and governance program, and finance data is at the center of this effort. As a Manager of Data Risk and Data Governance within Finance, you will play a critical leadership role in strengthening Schwab’s enterprise data risk posture across Treasury, Finance, Regulatory Reporting, and related risk domains. This role requires a strong balance of strategic thinking and hands‑on leadership—shaping data governance frameworks while actively enabling teams to embed controls, stewardship, and accountability into day‑to‑day finance operations. These solutions will require embracing the full utilization of emerging governance technologies that cover data integrity throughout the data journey.
In this role, you will act as a trusted leader and subject‑matter expert for finance data risk, influencing across organizational boundaries to drive alignment to a shared data vision. You will oversee dependencies across systems and data domains, guide prioritization of data risk initiatives, and ensure that governance outcomes directly support Schwab’s strategic objectives, regulatory commitments, and risk appetite.

- Serve as a finance data risk leader, translating regulatory expectations and enterprise standards into actionable processes that improve data quality, transparency, and control effectiveness.
- Partner with enterprise data risk teams to support remediation of data issues, manage dependencies across systems, and track progress against defined risk outcomes.
- Enable consistent use of data governance tooling, workflows, and metrics to support reporting, escalation, and executive visibility into finance data risk.
- Influence and coach teams to adopt disciplined data management and governance behaviors, fostering a culture of accountability and continuous improvement.
