Schwab’s Wealth & Advice Solutions (WAS) organization is tasked with driving our strategy to create an integrated Wealth and Advice Solutions business and prioritize investments in these areas. Within WAS, the Senior Manager, Alternative Investments Offer Management, will be a part of the Investment & Offer Solutions (IOS) group. IOS is a team of curious, optimistic, and gritty employees responsible for managing our proprietary Separately Managed Account products and third-party product marketplaces (Alternative Investments, Managed Accounts, Mutual Funds, ETFs, Structured Products, Fixed Income, Annuities & Insurance, and 529). Our mission is to provide positive experiences for Schwab advisors and clients invested in these products, while growing win-win monetization opportunities.
The Senior Manager, Alternative Investments Offer Management, will be responsible for providing day-to-day management and operational support for Schwab’s Alternative Investments & Structured Products advisor platforms. This role will support core offer management activities, including platform maintenance, new issuer and fund onboarding, performance reporting, and field enablement support, as well as ongoing product strategy and project execution. The Senior Manager will work closely with internal partners (e.g., Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Advisor Services) and external partners (e.g., asset managers, fintechs) to ensure smooth delivery and positive client experience.
What you’ll do
- Support ongoing management of the Alternative Investments & Structured Products advisor platforms.
- Monitor platform performance, identify areas for improvement, conduct analysis, and support implementation of enhancements.
- Provide support for onboarding new products, managers, or platform features.
- Serve as a subject matter expert for partners and advisors regarding platform functionality and operational processes.
- Assist with regulatory and compliance requirements related to Alternative Investments.
- Collaborate with Operations, Technology, Legal, Compliance, and Advisor Services to ensure smooth platform functioning and resolution of manager and advisor inquiries.
- Maintain and update product documentation, training materials, and process guides.
- Support internal audits, ensuring documentation and procedures are followed.
- Lead or support ongoing process improvement initiatives.
What you have
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree or relevant certifications a plus.
- 5+ years total work experience with 3+ years in financial services, preferably in product management, offer management, or operations supporting Alternative Investments or similar products.
- Demonstrated ability to manage daily operational activities, resolve issues, and support product enhancements.
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to clearly document processes and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications
- A curious thinker with strong business judgment and analytical skills who, through grit, can solve problems and keep driving work forward.
- High degree of comfort dealing with ambiguity, motivated to drive results while operating autonomously in a dynamic and fast-moving work environment
- Ability to create presentations and effectively present to and persuade stakeholders.
- Familiarity with Alternative Investments, Structured Products, or similar investment products.
- Licenses: Series 7
