Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Applicants must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship, now or in the future.

We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate to work on site 4 days per week in one of the specified locations.

Within Workplace Services, Stock Plan Services (SPS) provides digital and operational capabilities that help corporate clients administer equity compensation programs and support reliable execution throughout the award lifecycle.
The SPS Digital Product Management team is seeking a Senior Digital Product Manager to serve as a senior individual contributor responsible for the strategy, modernization, delivery, adoption, and performance of one or more assigned SPS capabilities. These capabilities may include stock plan administration, account and award readiness, pre-lapse and lapse workflows, tax-related functionality, client-facing tools, and operational modernization.
The role combines customer and workflow discovery, strategic product leadership, technical and systems thinking, agile execution, and responsible use of AI to simplify complex processes, reduce risk, and deliver measurable client, operational, and business outcomes.

What You’ll Do

Product Strategy & Outcomes

  • Own the vision, strategy, roadmap, product health, adoption, and outcomes for assigned SPS products and capabilities.
  • Translate client and user needs, business goals, operational challenges, technology opportunities, and risk requirements into prioritized product strategies.
  • Build outcome-driven roadmaps that balance client commitments, modernization, platform health, and long-term strategy.
  • Use customer insights, product data, market trends, and clearly defined success measures to guide investment decisions and continuous improvement.

Customer Discovery & Validation

  • Develop a deep understanding of the needs and workflows of plan sponsors, stock plan administrators, Client Service, Operations, and business and control partners.
  • Evaluate downstream participant impacts and dependencies where SPS capabilities affect participant readiness or servicing outcomes.
  • Identify customer and business problems through research, data, feedback, and workflow observation; test hypotheses through prototypes, experiments, and pilots.
  • Use evidence to refine priorities and determine whether to scale, adjust, or stop investments while representing customer and user needs throughout the product lifecycle.

SPS Modernization & Platform Leadership

  • Lead assigned capabilities supporting stock plan administration, including account and award readiness, lapse modernization, tax-related experiences, client-facing tools, and related workflows.
  • Define product requirements across user experiences, business rules, data, reporting, integrations, APIs, and exception workflows.
  • Replace fragmented and manual processes with integrated, reusable capabilities and appropriately governed automation.
  • Apply a platform-wide perspective to identify reusable services, integration opportunities, trusted data sources, and strategic investments.
  • Partner across Product, Client Service, Operations, UX, Architecture, Engineering, Data, Security, Risk, Legal, and Compliance to address dependencies, operational needs, and architectural trade-offs.

Product Ownership & Delivery

  • Own assigned products and capabilities from discovery through launch, adoption, measurement, and optimization.
  • Translate product direction into initiatives, features, stories, acceptance criteria, and measurable outcomes.
  • Prioritize the backlog and lead planning, refinement, release readiness, and post-release evaluation with delivery partners.
  • Manage dependencies, risks, scope, capacity, and trade-offs while maintaining accountability for results.

AI-First Product Leadership

  • Identify and evaluate AI-enabled and automation opportunities based on customer or user value, business impact, feasibility, data readiness, risk, and measurable outcomes.
  • Build business cases, experiments, pilots, and success measures; recommend whether to scale, refine, or stop.
  • Use approved AI tools to improve product work while validating outputs and retaining accountability.
  • Partner with Engineering, Data, Security, Risk, Legal, and Compliance on responsible implementation, including privacy, security, transparency, monitoring, governance, and appropriate human oversight.

Leadership, Measurement & Communication

  • Define and use product health, adoption, experience, efficiency, quality, and business measures to guide improvement.
  • Influence decisions and align stakeholders across business and technology without direct authority.
  • Communicate strategy, priorities, progress, risks, trade-offs, recommendations, and outcomes to delivery teams, partners, and senior leaders.
