The Asset Transfer Platform team is responsible for facilitating the modernization and maintaining the viability of Schwab systems that support the move money experience including banking, cashiering and fraud prevention services. The objective of the Asset Transfer Team is to provide and create increased processing efficiencies and an ease of doing business for core Asset Transfer functions: Cash & Securities Journals, Check Processing, Bank Transfers (ACH), and Wires; and ACATS, Non-ACATS and Mutual Funds Transfer of Account solutions for all of Schwab. We inspire client loyalty by creating and delivering a world-class operational support experience while also focusing on employee loyalty and team collaboration. The team leverages its business and technical expertisein partnership with business and technology stakeholders to implement a strategic vision for the platform including participation in design, requirements gathering, prioritization, development, testing and certification activities.
The Manager, IT Product Management plays a critical role to document and store requirements for large cross platform projects, service and supports the intake process and production releases by helping to coordinate and validate production changes. The Manager, IT Product Management will also provide product owner support where needed to assist with the successful delivery of business value through company sponsored initiatives. Within this team, the Manager, IT Product Management will report to the Senior Product Management Leader overseeing the platforms backlog and delivery processes. The individual in this role will collaborate with key business and technology stakeholders in supporting the beginning and end of the delivery process to drive transformation of cashiering systems. The role will require the Manager, IT Product Management to utilize business and technical knowledge in addition to maintaining business and technology alignment. The ideal candidate shall possess a good understanding of the securities and banking industry, software development life cycle, and have excellent communication and organizational skills in addition to a holistic view for their cashiering products.
The Manager, IT Product Management serves as a primary liaison between business, product, and technology partners, supporting intake, requirements elicitation, prioritization, and delivery for complex, cross‑platform initiatives. This role manages backlog and release activities, supports product owners through Agile planning and execution, and partners with architects to assess platform impacts and dependencies while documenting current‑state and future‑state system solutions. The analyst develops deep knowledge of middle‑office services, business processes, and system flows to ensure alignment between business objectives, technical solutions, and firm‑wide strategies.
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- 3-to- 5 years’ experience managing requirements for multiple large, complex, and cross functional projects. Emphasis on systems, technologies, business process redesign, and knowledge of technical environments
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent business experience
- Competence in Microsoft Office tools including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
- Excellentcommunication, interpersonal, and organizationalskills
- Ability to work in an environment with a high level of ambiguity or unknowns and ability adapt accordingly.
- Ability to negotiate and influence business partners across many organizations and at differing levels of the company.
- High attention to detail and the ability to see things through from concept to implementation.
- Proven ability to write business requirements, including user stories, use case development and workflow documentation.
- Strategic mindset to help drive product management decisions, governance, and long-term vision.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - ability to quickly analyze data to identify key insights and identify synergies between disparate concepts.
- Product and project management skills; business judgment, including ability to balance resources, evaluate and address risks, and concisely articulate where trade-off decisions are to be made.
- Strong orientation to clients, including ability to understand needs and apply this knowledge to product enhancements, online user experience, and communication content.
- Ability to analyze and communicate technology recommendations to business stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- 5 years’ experience in software development methodology (Agile Framework), preferred.
- Securities Industry/Operational background preferred, a focus on cash management solutions.
- Prior working knowledge of JIRA or any related Scrum tools preferred.
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
