Director Service & Operations, DAFgiving360

DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.

DAFgiving360’s Service & Operations teams are responsible for the delivery of all service channels as well as handling all operational procedures on behalf of donors, advisors, charities, and partners. Reporting to the President of DAFgiving360, the Director of Service & Operations is a senior leader responsible for delivering and enhancing on all service channels for donors, advisors, and charities. The Director has operational accountability for teams and partners that manage account opening, contribution processing, grant processing, and provide service for donors, advisors, and charities. This individual will ensure scalable service delivery and a culture of excellence

Key Outcomes:

  • As a member of the senior management team, collaborate with other senior leaders on the overall mission, operations, and governance of DAFgiving360.
  • Regularly prepare and present reports to DAFgiving360’s independent Board of Directors.
  • The Director will work closely across the entire DAFgiving360 organization as well as Schwab partners to align and innovate on client experience initiatives across departments and programs.
  • Set strategic direction for all Service and Operations teams to enhance the services provided to donors, advisors, and charities and innovate for operational efficiencies.
  • Oversee the daily operations of Service and Operations teams ensuring high-quality service across all communications and operations channels.
  • Drive accountability by monitoring, measuring, and reporting service level agreements (SLAs) and key metrics.
  • Partner with digital and technology teams to implement tools and systems that support contact center and operations efficiency, including telephony, case management, and reporting.
  • Motivate, inspire, and supervise the Directors leading Service and Operations departments, fostering transparency, accountability, and professional growth.
  • Ensure sound risk management practices that align with the organization’s risk appetite and protect DAFgiving360 and its donors.

What you have


Required Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent work experience, with a minimum of 12+ years of related experience in leadership within a business operations or client service function in financial services or philanthropic sector.
  • Significant experience in leading and driving successful service teams with a passion for providing excellent client service in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong strategic thinker with the ability to analyze issues and problems systematically, gather broad and balanced input, draw sound conclusions and translate conclusions into clear, specific objectives and plans.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify problems & opportunities, lead initiatives, discuss challenging issues, and learn more about critical issues as a group; is sought out for counsel and feedback from senior leaders.
  • Excellent listening and communication skills, including both verbal and written, with the ability to influence, build consensus, and integrate complex information.
  • Proven presentation skills and experience working collaboratively and implementing ideas.
  • Demonstrated experience building and leading teams to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness by recruiting, developing, coaching, and retaining highly engaged diverse teams.
  • Ability to forge relationships with key stakeholders and appropriate decision makers in other departments while exhibiting strong judgement and creativity in meeting client needs and executing key projects
  • Base Compensation: $103,500- $230,000.  Your compensation may be different.  Talk with your Talent Advisor to learn more.  In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or other incentive opportunities.
