The primary role of this position is to lead Corporate Security’s Executive Protection Program.  The Director, Corporate Security Executive Protection Program, will report to and support the Managing Director of Corporate Security.  

The Executive Protection Program focuses on the safety of Schwab Executives through advanced planning, risk assessment, close protection skills, and other strategies to ensure their safety.  This role relies on building strong relationships and partnering with Charles Schwab enterprise unit leadership to ensure the security and security of Schwab employees and clients. Additionally, the role is responsible for planning and executing protective operations during travel, and corporate events.

What you have


Required:

  • Must possess a minimum of 10 years previous security, law enforcement, military police, or equivalent experience.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years leadership/management experience in security/law enforcement/loss protection/safety/risk field.
  • Must possess strong judgment, discretion, and prior experience in executive protection.
  • Must possess excellent communications skills, the ability to operate independently
  • Must be able to demonstrate a clear understanding of the unique security needs within a corporate environment.
  • Must have the ability to operate with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Must possess a minimum 5 years’ experience and thorough knowledge of Executive Protection methodology.
  • Current Armed Certified Officer (ASO) or must meet requirements to apply.
  • Must possess Texas Department of Public Safety Level, III and Level, IV certification or be eligible to qualify.
  • Must possess HR-218 certification or be eligible to qualify.
  • Required Certified First Responder/Stop the Bleed.
  • Monitor budgets to forecast.
  • Requires a mature person who enjoys working with people and can relate to a variety of people at all levels, including business executives and independent contractors.
  • Must possess strong leadership, interpersonal, and listening skills.
  • Must possess a high level of discernment in dealing with emergency and/or tense situations.
  • Must have knowledge and experience in using proven risk assessment and risk mitigation practices.
  • Must have strong leadership abilities.
  • Regular domestic travel is required.

Preferred:

  • Professional accredited certifications preferred

In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
