Throughout the 9-week paid Finance internship within our Finance Rotational Program, there will be inspiring opportunities that welcome you into the Schwab culture and immerse you into your role. The interactive program focuses on a variety of opportunities which feature a business track project, an intern cohort project, learning activities, volunteering in the community, a dedicated intern leader, networking, and exploring your unique personal strengths!
This role allows you to gain exposure into our Finance departments including: Enterprise Finance (Financial Planning & Analysis), Central Finance, Treasury, Controllers, Investor Relations, Finance Innovation & Technology, Finance Risk Management and Securities Lending. Participation and interaction with the staff in these functional areas will help develop fundamental skills and broaden your perspective of the critical role our corporate finance professionals play in the day-to-day operations of a leading investment services firm like Schwab. Our Finance Rotation Program is designed to build the skill sets and exposure for a successful career across the entire CFO organization.

What you have

Required Qualifications
- Be currently enrolled in a bachelor's degree program
- Have enough credit hours to put you at a junior level status at a 4-year college or university
- Have not already completed your bachelor's degree
- Able and willing to relocate at your own expense if relocation is needed
- Able to commit to working 40 hours a week for the 9 weeks of the internship dates of June 8, 2026 - August 7, 2026
- Able to start full-time employment during business hours between August 2026 - September 2027
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Qualifications
- Earning a bachelor’s degree or higher in Accounting or Finance
- Experience or interest in financial technology (Python, SQL or data analytics)
- Curiosity to learn how to understand and apply financial reporting principles, regulatory requirements and transactional deliverables
- Optimism with keen sense of purpose, awareness, and knowledge
- Resourcefulness and flexibility, who enjoy working through cross-functional partnerships and collaboration to achieve a common purpose
- An innovative and questioning demeanor, who constantly look for better ways to do things, have a passion for service, and seek to exceed client expectations
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with internal business partners
- Excellent organizational skills, enabling one to manage multiple priorities and projects, while meeting deadlines
