Job Profile Summary

The Sr. Specialist, Editorial & Copywriting is responsible for executing International Education strategies, initiatives, and processes with a primary focus on the support of enterprise-wide Chinese online content and the creation of Chinese Education material and experiences. This role will serve as a translator, video editor and content manager to support various aspects of the International Education and Chinese language experience.

Support the development of Chinese websites and platforms.

  • Work closely with website and platform owners and development teams on the translation of Chinese language websites, trading platforms, including updates, fixes, and related projects.

  • Provide translations via multiple means in a timely and efficient manner.

  • Report or create defect incidents to address language related issues.

  • Participate in language related system testing, validation and deployment and participate in stand-up meetings.

  • Provide updates to international leadership and associates on changes made to our Chinese web properties to ensure we offer the best client experience possible.

Support end to end lifecycle of international education content localization and translation process.

  • Localization/translation of selected content produced by other education partners, including articles, scripts, videos, or client communication emails, etc.

  • Ensure quality and timely content localization and translation through various processes, workflows, and creativity tools.

  • Ensure all content adheres to tone of voice, creative strategy guidelines, and objectives established to address clients’ needs.

  • Follow content review and approval procedures and process.

  • Work with business partners to promote our translation philosophy to ensure we provide best possible language experience for our clients.

Manage end of end lifecycle of content publishing and distribution process

  • Content authoring, publishing and distribution to various channels or segments.

  • Assist and participate monthly editorial calendar planning and scheduling.

  • Content planning within editorial calendar, coordinating with other internal & external partners for better awareness, orchestration, and leverage.

  • Utilize various content and project management tools to ensure efficient and equitable processes.

  • Coordination production and distribution of content produced by internal and external teams.

  • Report and follow up any issues in a timely manner.

  • Identify gaps that affect user experience of education content.

  • Assist in content review and approval workflow.

  • Provide system testing, validation and address any questions or concerns.

  • Provide training material or demos for any new features or functionalities.

- Strong translation skills from English to Chinese and Chinese to English
- Strong communication skills in both writing and verbal
- Proficient experience with content translation, review and management systems, including Smartling, Workfront and Drupal
- Proficient experience with content production, video editing, subtitling and design software, including Adobe Creative Suite such as Acrobat Pro, Dreamweaver, Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop, etc.
- Proficient experience with project management and workflow tools
- Strong collaboration, problem solving and interpersonal skills
- Energetic, organized, multitasking and attention to detail
- Understand retail brokerage product and services, especially the unique needs of Chinese speaking clients domestically and internationally
- Process oriented with ability to identify opportunities for improvements and efficiencies
- Education Level Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Education Level Preferred: Bachelor’s Degree or above preferably in Business, Journalist, Marketing, Education, Translation and related fields
- Years  of Industry Experience: 4+ years

- Certified translator (English to Chinese) preferred
- Series 7 and 63 required
- Series 24 preferred
