This newly created role will support the future growth of the Schwab Asset Management (SAM) business. As a Sr. Specialist, Business Systems Analyst, you will be working directly with the portfolio managers, traders, and compliance teams responsible for managing SAM’s assets. As a member of a high-performing platform team, you will deliver high-quality solutions that meet business objectives in a flexible, collaborative, and rapidly changing environment. You will gain expertise in SAM’s order management system and leverage this knowledge to improve business outcomes.

Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience gained through 3-8 years in a software development, technical support, or other role in a financial services or financial technology organization
Organized, self-reliant, and self-motivated, with attention to detail and ability to multi-task
Adept at effective communication and forming strong relationships with vendor and internal stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
A university degree in a program, such as Computer Science, Engineering, or Information Systems, finance or related. Advanced degrees and/or other professional certifications are a plus
Prior experience in the financial services with a good understanding of portfolio management and trading
Understanding the data elements required to support systems implementation – Orders, Holdings, Compliance, Risk and Performance
Ideal candidates will have experience in investment process—portfolio construction, portfolio rebalance and portfolio risk and analytics.
Exposure to relational databases (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and SQL queries
Familiarity with Atlassian Jira and Confluence
Finance CFA Foundation or CFA certification would also be accepted.
6 months or more of Schwab technology domain experience gained as a current or recent contractor or employee
