The Senior Technical Writer develops, revises, and maintains controlled documentation in alignment with organizational policies, procedures, and industry standards. Working collaboratively with cross functional leaders, engineers and subject matter experts (SMEs), this role ensures technical content is accurate, clear, and aligned to standards while contributing to complex, fast moving projects.
What you have
- Create, edit, and maintain high quality, user focused technical documentation across multiple formats (procedures, guides, online help, and installation content).
- Partner with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), engineers, and managers to gather requirements and document technical processes, functionality, and specifications.
- Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise content for diverse audiences.
- Develop and maintain documentation templates, visual assets, and in house style guides to ensure consistency and clarity.
- Review and proofread documentation to ensure accuracy, quality, and adherence to company standards
Required Qualifications:
• BA/BS in Technical Writing, Communications, English, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5-7+ years of proven experience developing, editing, and maintaining technical documentation in a regulated or standards‑driven environment.
• 5-7+ years of strong experience to translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, user‑focused documentation for diverse audiences.
• Experience collaborating with cross‑functional teams, including engineers, managers, and subject matter experts (SMEs).
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, problem solving, organizational and negotiation skill.
• Demonstrated proficiency reviewing and proofreading documentation to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to style and quality standards.
• Strong written communication, organizational, and time‑management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience creating technical documentation in financial services, technology, or other highly regulated environments.
• Familiarity with documentation lifecycle management, controlled documentation, or compliance‑driven content standards.
• Proficiency with documentation and collaboration tools such as Confluence, SharePoint, Visio, or similar platforms.
• Ability to create clear, persuasive, and professional written documents that meet business standards
• Experience creating visual documentation assets, including diagrams, flowcharts, screenshots, or infographics.
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and proactively drive documentation efforts in complex environment.
