The Sales and Service Technology team is a forward leaning development organization that leverages Agile development methodologies. We are looking for a Sr Specialist (mid-level), Software Application Engineer responsible for implementing unique solutions that support our business within a highly distributed .NET application infrastructure with a focus on micro front-end/services architecture. The position will be responsible for implementation, testing, and support of assigned applications and application components within the Sales and Service Technology portfolio.
In this role, you will:
- Work with agile team members while building and maintaining a highly distributed .NET application
- Interact with business stakeholders and technology counterparts across many areas within Schwab
- Implement robust, fault-tolerant software that meets functional requirements and has 24x7x365 availability
- Provide expertise in web-based, distributed, and cloud-based computing application development
What you have
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related field and/or equivalent experience
- 2-4 years of experience in software development using Object Oriented Programming using C#, Java, and front-end web development with Angular
- 1+ year(s) of experience building REST services ASP.NET Web API
- Strong knowledge of web architecture/design and web best practices
Preferred qualifications:
- Familiarity with GIT based source control
- Familiarity with Jira and Confluence systems
- Working knowledge of the Agile/Scrum development methodology
- Demonstrated ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Highly organized and driven by nature
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
