In Mainframe Automation our mission is to provide a highly resilient & highly available compute platform based on IBM System Z and IBM Tivoli System Automation for z/OS.
Your expectations include, but are not limited to:
- Manage and implement changes to mainframe systems
- Collaborate with support teams to troubleshoot issues, resolve defects, and implement new features
- Develop and maintain department processes, procedures, and best practices as well as maintain and update related documentation
- Participate in on-call rotation for production support
- Provide training and support to team members and users on functionality and best practices
- Develop new, and maintain existing custom automation related to how we do our work
- Stay up-to-date with new technologies and best practices
What you have
Required qualifications:
- 8+ years IBM System Automation experience supporting policy administration as well as providing day to day assistance to operations staff. Defining applications, application groups, message table entries, etc to meet company availability targets.
- 8+ years IBM Netview experience providing Netview support as well as develop and maintain REXX execs and panels used by operations staff to monitor system health and other in-house written automated functions.
- 10+ years TSO/ISPF/REXX experience developing and maintaining department REXX execs and ISPF components used to manage and automate our own workload such as our change/configuration management processes.
Preferred qualifications:
- GDPS - Experience supporting SA portion of GDPS product suite in an active/standby configuration.
- Remedy - Experience using Remedy (or like product) as an ITSM component to manage work orders as well as change and incident tickets.
- Sharepoint - Experience using and maintaining Sharepoint as a document repository.
