As a Fixed Income Service Senior Specialist, you would operate in a dual capacity to support our Regional Bond Specialists and act as ambassadors of Fixed Income at Schwab to educate, guide, and assist clients. Providing our clients with exceptional experiences is the priority at Schwab and in the Fixed Income Department. The professional should have a fundamental understanding of general income strategies, working towards developing a deep and expert understanding. - Educate clients - Engage clients in discussions focused on educating and providing guidance as it relates to their fixed income, and service needs.
- Engage clients – Deliver a great client service when answering inbound phone calls.
- Be a client advocate - Care enough to ask the difficult questions knowing that just one question, the right question, can change a client’s future.
- Uncover solutions-based options for clients - Client needs can range from basic trade execution to more complex research and portfolio reviews. Execute transactions and provide guidance based on client’s objectives, time horizon, and risk tolerance.
- Be consultative – As appropriate, recommend solutions to clients that align to their goals. We also partner with the client’s wealth planning team for identified business development opportunities.
- Build strong client and internal relationships - Collaborate in a team-based environment with a diverse group of professionals focused on meeting the needs of the clients and Charles Schwab & Co.

Required Qualifications
- Active and valid series 7 & 63 (or 66) securities licenses required
- Aptitude and willingness for learning Fixed Income products (Treasuries, CDs, Municipals, Corporates, Preferred Securities, Bond Funds, Bond ETFs, Professionally Managed Portfolios, and Bond Ladders etc.)
- Demonstrated experience interacting with clients in a proactive and consultative manner
- A desire and ability to learn portfolio analysis to conduct Fixed Income planning conversations with clients as needed
- A collaborative and relationship-focused work style with demonstrated success in a team environment
- Effective time management & communication skills, positive attitude, enthusiasm, professionalism, and a strong work ethic with a high level of integrity
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to effectively mitigate risk and adhere to trading accuracy, while adhering to policies, procedures, and guidelines
- An ownership mentality with a desire to continually grow and learn
- Ability to adapt and implement changes as market and business conditions evolve
In addition to the salary range, this role is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
