Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) at Charles Schwab & Co. is responsible for implementing a firm-wide, end-to-end vendor management process to maximize vendor performance and value. Corporate Vendor Management is responsible for the sourcing, onboarding, risk assessment, monitoring and offboarding of third parties; and assists Schwab in meeting regulatory and compliance requirements.
The Technology Delivery team is responsible for leading Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) transformational projects and programs that result in the advancement of core CVM capabilities. Initiatives range from implementing solutions that enable Schwab business partners to move quickly on their objectives to leading our CVM partners through technology and process optimization journeys.
The CVM Technology Delivery team is currently seeking aSenior Manager, Project & Change Management. This individual will play a critical role in both managing the execution of key initiatives and driving the people side of change to accelerate business readiness, adoption, and value realization. This is an individual contributor role.
What you’ll do:
- Play an essential delivery and problem-solving role within Corporate Vendor Management (CVM) focused on change leadership, project leadership, and technology enablement.
- Lead the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through implementation, managing scope, timeline, risks, and interdependencies.
- Quickly develop an expert understanding of the Corporate Vendor Management business process and applications to best understand the full implications of system change and how this will impact key stakeholders.
- Organizational Change Management – Communications, Training, & Business Adoption
- Lead project teams to drive successful adoption of changes within CVM and key business partners.
- Drive change adoption by designing and executing change management strategies and plans that maximize employee engagement and readiness for change
- Deliver thoughtful, actionable messaging to business leaders. Effectively communicate messages at appropriate level of detail across all levels of the organization
- Conduct impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and readiness activities, integrating these into project plans to ensure changes land effectively.
- Apply change frameworks (e.g., Prosci/ADKAR) to build sustainable adoption and benefits realization plans.
- Use data and business insights to track change and project effectiveness, course correct as needed, and support leadership decision-making.
- Project Leadership
- End-to-end project planning and execution using project management best practices, developing integrated project plans with milestone management and interdependencies, risk management and resource planning. Including: Manage business and technical deliverables to the project timeline throughout the various project phases. Develop and document project plans, and schedules. Identify and document the roles, tasks, and responsibilities of the project team. Must have strong project management and project planning experience/knowledge with demonstrated ability to drive projects to successful completion
- Deftly navigate organizational structure/politics to influence program direction, decisions and delivery to achieve desired business outcomes.
- Acquire knowledge of business processes and supporting technologies to define project scope, lead cross-functional designs and ultimately realize the value of the initiative through successful delivery.
- Technology & Process Enablement
- Identify CVM opportunities for process improvement and efficiency. Work with CVM to design and implement plans to address identified opportunities
- Build cross-functional alliances and relationships to support complex processes; facilitate cross-functional calibration sessions to ensure alignment and consistency.
- Create and update workflow designs and written descriptions of processes to support reviews and gap analysis findings.
We believe in the importance of in-office collaboration and fully intend for the selected candidate for this role to work on site four days per week in the specified location.

Required Qualifications:
- BS/BA degree required
- 8+ years of experience in project and change management roles, ideally within a transformation or business enablement environment managing multiple large, complex and cross functional projects
- Experience leading change initiatives involving technology rollouts, process redesign, capability building, and organizational restructuring
- Strong understanding of change management planning for how people adapt to changes in processes, systems, or roles using tools such as impact assessments, stakeholder analysis, and communications
- Highly motivated and delivery oriented
- Organized approach with demonstrated leadership abilities
- Flexible and adaptable in handling/implementing change and understanding how change will impact the team, internal Business Partners and vendors
- Demonstrated ability to mobilize and motivate teams, set direction and approach, resolve conflict, and deliver tough messages with grace
Preferred Qualifications:
- Background in financial services and/or vendor management is a plus
- Experience with Confluence, SharePoint and PowerPoint preferred
- ADKAR certification is a plus
- PMI, PMP Certification or Scrum Master Certification preferred
