Your opportunity

At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.

Model Risk Oversight (MRO) is a strategic function within the broader Corporate Risk Management umbrella that manages all quantitative and predictive modeling products to protect our clients and our company. The governance team within MRO plays a key role in establishing the program – creating policies and procedures, establishing reporting, ensuring our program is compliant with regulatory expectations and meets industry peers. This role provides an opportunity to drive program requirements and creatively improve model risk management at Schwab.

We are looking for an individual contributor to own model risk program management in alignment with the enterprise and operational risk program. This role will report to the Director of Model Risk Governance. This Manager will have a broad impact as they maintain, update and roll out changes to our policies and procedures. MRO will also rely on this person to monitor issue management for issues sourced by MRO and to plan and remediate issues assigned to MRO. As a key contributor, this Manager will also be involved with maintaining RCSA risks and controls and performing risk assessments. To ensure success of the program, it will be important for this Manager to support testing activities such as audits and control testing in addition to organizing and providing training on model risk program requirements.
