The Senior Team Manager, Finance will own financial planning and analysis for Wealth Advisory offerings, including Schwab Wealth Advisory and Schwab Advisor Network, and lead a team responsible for forecasting, analytics, financial modeling, and complex business cases. You will turn financial and operational data into clear recommendations that help senior leaders understand business performance, evaluate strategic alternatives, and make informed decisions that support sustainable growth.
Success requires strong business judgment, disciplined problem solving, and the ability to simplify complex findings for varied audiences. Working across Wealth Advisory Finance, Central Finance, Sales, Strategy, and Product Management, you will strengthen driver-based planning, improve reporting and forecasting processes, and develop a high-performing team that serves as a trusted financial partner.
What you have
Required qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, or a related field
- 7+ years of progressive financial planning and analysis leadership experience, including responsibility for driving financial outcomes at the profit-and-loss level
- Experience analyzing financial and operational drivers, developing forward-looking assumptions, and explaining material changes in business performance
- Experience using SQL, Python, data-querying tools, financial systems, and driver-based financial models
- Demonstrated experience leading, coaching, and developing finance professionals
Preferred qualifications
- Master of Business Administration, Certified Public Accountant certification, Chartered Financial Analyst designation, or related advanced education or professional training
- Ability to apply Strategic Thinking, Business Analytics, and Decision Making to evaluate opportunities and advise senior leaders
- Ability to use Influencing Others and Executive Presence to build trust, present recommendations, and respectfully challenge established approaches
- Demonstrated Cross-Functional Collaboration with finance, sales, strategy, product management, and other business partners
- Ability to apply Problem Solving and Process Improvement to strengthen forecasting, reporting, and financial modeling
- Strong Communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial information into clear, audience-focused messages
- Demonstrated Adaptability when responding to shifting priorities, emerging business trends, and new information
In addition to the salary range, this role is eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities.
