Charles Schwab's Trading Platforms team is responsible for defining, delivering, and leading the lifecycle of products and services within the thinkorswim suite of trading platforms. The thinkorswim platforms have received many accolades through time and our trading clients are constantly looking for innovative and powerful ways to take advantage of market opportunities. We work, think and approach problems differently than your traditional financial services firm, and we aim to evolve both how Schwab and the industry evolve to serve traders.

In this role, you help drive the product development of our cornerstone trading application – the thinkorswim desktop  - that caters across a wide spectrum of client profiles and segments. You will collaborate with key partners in technology, design, and the business to integrate our clients’ needs with our trading products and features. You will work alongside other product owners and product teams that are jointly defining and solving trading platform opportunities that will provide our clients with a powerful, innovative, and cohesive trading experience.

To ensure that we have fulfilled our promise of "challenging the status quo," this role has specific qualifications that successful candidates should have. 

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 4+ years financial services experience with an emphasis on trading and/or trading tools across equity, options, futures, and forex markets

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Product management experience, including requirements gathering and executing a product roadmap
  • Passion for trading or the development of trading tools
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to formulate and articulate a compelling product vision
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across the team with peers and others
  • Highly developed communication and presentation skills with a superior ability to effectively communicate and present complex concepts and issues to development and leadership teams
  • Confidence presenting and tailoring messaging to a variety of audiences, from service professionals to marketing partners to leadership
  • Passion for learning and taking on challenging tasks
  • Curiosity, a can-do attitude and the ability to learn quickly and thrive in a complex, dynamic environment
  • Self-starter with outstanding organizational skills and ability to track multiple project deliverables with minimal direction
  • Strong knowledge and experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Prior experience as an Agile Product Owner or experience leading scrum teams
