At Schwab, you’re empowered to make an impact on your career. Here, innovative thought meets creative problem solving, helping us “challenge the status quo” and transform the finance industry together.
If you’re a high-performing individual contributor passionate about creating design patterns grounded in UX best practices and research—and thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment—consider joining us as a Senior Digital Design System (DDS) User Experience Designer (UXD) Lead.
Charles Schwab’s DDS for public-facing experiences empowers web page and email builders to deliver intuitive, cohesive experiences for end users while saving time by leveraging established patterns. DDS team members often collaborate across Schwab, and with the Creative Center (C2) UX Strategy team in Schwab Marketing.
In this role, you’ll report to C2’s UX Strategy Team Manager, leading the creation, maintenance, and governance of digital and email design patterns and components.
What you’ll do:
- Set priorities and manage delivery for the DDS UI team, including Jira ticket creation and oversight.
- Own and evolve the Figma UI Kit and integration patterns to ensure consistency and seamless adoption across experiences and channels.
- Scale the DDS to enable differentiated experiences across web, email, and mobile app, ensuring the system remains usable, visually compelling, and scalable.
- Define and enforce standards for design, accessibility, and best practices.
- Provide expert consultation and support to system users, including agencies and internal teams.
- Drive adoption and governance of the design system through documentation, training sessions, demos, roadshows, and newsletters.
- Collaborate with researchers to gather feedback from users and stakeholders, continuously improving the UI toolkit and design system.
