The Advisor Services Technology team is responsible for managing the entirety of our digital products designed specifically for to our Institutional and Independent Advisor clients.  We are looking for a Senior Engineer of Software Development to work in our dynamic and collegiate team.

What you have


  • 7+ years of full stack application development experience 
  • Bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited degree granting college or university is preferred, or equivalent experience
    • Proven experience developing and implementing applications, particularly web-enabled applications using:
    • Front End Technologies/Concepts:  Angular and/or AngularJS, HTML5, CSS/SCSS, ASP.NET web forms, MVC, JSON/XML, Sync/ASync services
    • Back End Technologies/Concepts:  C#, ASP.NET, SOAP and RESTful API design
    • Database Technologies/Concepts:  Relational (SQL/Oracle) and Document Based (No-SQL/MongoDB) Architectures
    • Environment: Distributed Monolithic and Cloud Based Microservices (Private Cloud/Pivotal Cloud Foundry is strongly differentiating)
  • Passion for enterprise-level agile development
  • Solid understanding in web application environments and development tools, event-driven application development, session state management, web configuration and deployment strategies, security and performance tuning, and debugging methodologies
  • Comfortable with continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) concepts, unit testing principles and implementations, API test automation techniques as well as automated deployment pipeline tools
  • Experience with Atlassian tool suite is strongly preferred: JIRA, Confluence, BitBucket, Bamboo
  • Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Effective time management. Must be able to prioritize and multi-task effectively
  • Have a passion for problem solving, the ability to quickly learn new concepts, and must be able to interact with all levels of technical and business teams
  • Be a team player, self-motivated and able to work collaboratively across organizations and geographic locations
  • Proficient understanding of code versioning tool

What You'll do:

Collaborate with AST team members in designing and developing technical solutions that meet business needs with respect to functionality, performance, scalability, and reliability. The ideal candidate will have a strong technology affinity and experience, as well as attention to detail:

  • Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable front end and back end code
  • Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the applications
  • Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems
  • Collaborate with the team to design, develop, unit test, and support new features
  • Proactively identify product/system enhancements which may improve tool appeal, process flow, and overall functionality and performance.
  • Lead development of maintenance and enhancement work items, including performance tuning, testing, refactoring, usability, and automation.
  • Champion/ensure adherence to coding, compliance, & security standards (including documenting functionality/recovery solutions).

In addition to the salary range, this position is also eligible for bonus or incentive opportunities
