As a Junior Data Platform Product Manager you will support product delivery and platform operations across business, analytics, governance, and engineering teams. This hands-on individual contributor role focuses on disciplined execution, requirements and process documentation, delivery metrics, feature rollout support, data management activities, stakeholder engagement, and coordination of practitioner-community activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Requirements and intake: Support structured intake and requirements gathering. Partner with stakeholders to clarify business needs, document workflows, and translate requirements into actionable user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Product operations and process execution: Maintain repeatable product and operational processes that support consistent intake, planning, governance, delivery, and user onboarding. Document workflows and recommend practical process improvements based on delivery data and stakeholder feedback.
- Feature rollout support: Coordinate assigned activities for new feature and platform rollouts, including readiness tracking, communications, training materials, user onboarding, and feedback collection.
- Delivery coordination: Support backlog refinement, prioritization, planning, dependency tracking, and follow-through across products, engineering, architecture, analytics, and governance teams. Maintain accurate product artifacts, decisions, risks, and status updates in JIRA and Confluence.
- Metrics and platform health reporting: Track and report platform and delivery metrics, including request volume, cycle time, provisioning efficiency, adoption, progress, reliability, and outcomes. Use data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and improvement opportunities.
- Stakeholder engagement and adoption: Build effective working relationships with business and technical partners. Facilitate discussions, communicate progress and risks, support onboarding, and gather user feedback to improve adoption and platform experience.
- Community of Practice & User Engagement: Help coordinate community-of-practice activities, such as office hours, working sessions, knowledge-sharing forums, and reusable guidance. Capture decisions, publish materials.
What you have
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience in product management / product operations / business analysis / platform management, or related discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- Experience gathering requirements, documenting workflows, and defining user stories and acceptance criteria.
- Experience supporting business processes, product delivery activities, operational reporting, or user adoption initiatives.
- Experience coordinating communications, documentation, training, onboarding, or feedback activities for a feature or process rollout.
- Basic knowledge of data management concepts, including data quality, data governance, controls, lineage, and data integrity.
- Experience with Agile delivery practices and tools such as JIRA and Confluence.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to use data and metrics to communicate progress and identify improvement opportunities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to facilitate meetings and prepare clear stakeholder materials.
- Proven organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in tracking and reporting platform or operational metrics, including cycle time, volume, adoption, provisioning efficiency, reliability, or delivery outcomes.
- Experience supporting enterprise data, analytics, cloud, or AI-enabled platforms.
- Experience supporting data management and governance activities, including data quality monitoring, metadata management, stewardship, controls, issue remediation, or compliance processes.
- Experience coordinating feature launches, process rollouts, onboarding, or change enablement activities.
- Experience building reusable documentation and self-service resources.
- Working knowledge of data platform concepts, product delivery processes, and operational reporting.
- Experience in the Financial Services or Technology industry.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a demonstrated ability to bring structure to ambiguous or evolving work.
