DAFgiving360 has entered into a services agreement with Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. for administrative and other services, including human resources. This position will be an employee of Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. and will be subject to its policies and procedures but will report to and be accountable to DAFgiving360 for day-to-day activities.
Our opportunity:
The position of Manager of Alternative Investment (Alts) Oversight is primarily responsible for processing and managing initial Alts subscription, contribution processes as well as Alts inquiries from advisors, fund managers, administrators and internal team members. This position will report to the Sr. manager of Alternative Investment Oversight.
What you’ll do
- Prepare, review and submit initial alternative investment subscription and contribution documents to meet the initial subscription and contribution deadline.
- Coordinate with donors, advisors, fund managers, administrators, authorized signers and legal team to complete subscription documents and side letters for alternative investments recommended by Investment Advisors
- Respond to process requests and inquiries from funds and administrators for items (such as AML/KYC support, LPA amendments, consents, etc.)
- Escalate critical risk-controlled decisions in a timely fashion during initial subscription and contribution process.
- Provide direction, instructions, guidance, and assistance to other team members, as necessary
- Maintain Alts subscription/contribution data to Ops Central
- Manage Alts team functional boxes and respond to the external parties, if necessary
- Handle Cross-functional management, prioritization, and collaboration with internal (AIts-Due Diligence Reviews, Investment Oversight team, Accounting, etc.) and external business partners (Fund Administrators, Investment Advisors, etc.)
- Other Alts Oversight assignments as assigned by the Sr. Manager of Alts Oversight
What you have
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree
- Minimum five years of experience in financial institutions
- Experience in reading fund documents and reviewing investment paperwork
- Demonstrated understanding of wide range of alternative investment styles, strategies, and security types
- Proven project manager, problem solving and analytical skills to find solutions and overcome operational barriers to achieve required results
- Interpersonal skills with a proven capability to lead teams and initiatives
- Detail orientation, strong verbal and written communication, team player, and proven cross-functional relationship building skills
- Self-starter with and learning enthusiasm, strong ability to analyze, research, and resolve problems
- Highly organized; able to manage multiple processes effectively
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without employer sponsorship
