Independent Branch Services leads Schwab’s growing network of franchise locations called Independent Branches. We use our strong national brand and partner with local advisor talent to extend Schwab's retail presence into affluent communities that were previously underserved by our branch network. The Independent Branch Market Leader supervises multiple Independent Branches within their region. The Market Leader is responsible forleading franchisees—called Independent Branch Leaders (IBLs)—to help them successfully develop and grow their franchise businesses and advance Schwab’s reputation and brand awareness in their local communities.

As theMarket Leader for the Southeast region, you will lead and supervise your franchisees to deliver the Schwab experience to a growing set of affluent clients. As part of the Franchise Field team and working with partners you will be responsible for driving regional performance—measured in NNA (net new assets), Advisory Solutions, and client satisfaction. You’ll ensure a strong culture of compliance, risk management, and supervision. You’ll collaborate with other branch partners to help your franchisees develop growth strategies, improve practice management processes, and deliver an outstanding client experience. By leveraging technology, teammates, and business partners, you will help the franchisees overcome challenges and deliver outstanding results. 

As part of the broader Franchise Leadership team, you will contribute to the ongoing evolution of the program. This can include activities such as representingthe franchise network to other organizations and executives—highlighting recent successes, initiatives, and opportunities to improve. It can also include leading change initiatives within the franchise program. 

This role requires 40%-60% travel, and can be telecommute from the Southeast region, states include Texas, Louisiana, Georgia, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida, Mississippi, North Carolina, and South Carolina.

What you have


Required:

  • Ability to set clear expectations and hold teams accountable for significant results, raising the team up to their full potential through leadership, coaching, and support
  • 7+ years of sales and leadership experience in financial services 
  • Prior financial services sales management experience as well as exposure to other branch functions including Operations, Technology, Human Resources, Supervision, Compliance, etc.
  • Proven track record of building and developing strong and collaborative teams through engagement
  • Ability to inspire shared vision with a strong drive for results
  • Ability to build and sustain strong trusted partnerships with employees, peers and colleagues in other work groups
  • Sound and decisive operational & supervisory judgment
  • Constant drive for innovation and continuous improvement that benefits the client experience
  • Commitment to holding yourself and others to high degree of integrity
  • Skills in providing guidance and leadership to a team of franchisees who are responsible for their employees’ coaching, development, recognition and performance management
  • Bachelor’s degree 
  • Active and valid Series 7 
  • Active and valid Series 9/10 
  • Active and valid Series 66 
  • Life & Variable Annuity Insurance License 

Preferred:

  • Active and valid Series 24 preferred
  • CFP/CFA/CIMA/AAMS/CWS preferred
